My message
My story isn't really about trucking. It's about what can happen when an ordinary person decides their current circumstances don't get to dictate their future.
I went from being a stay-at-home mom with two children, financial uncertainty, and no clear career path to earning my education, building expertise, becoming an entrepreneur, teaching hundreds of people, consulting businesses, and building a successful freight agency.
For me, the vehicle happened to be logistics. Yours might be something completely different.
Your background determines where you start. Knowledge can change where you finish.
My mission isn't to convince everyone to become an entrepreneur or work in transportation. My mission is to make you question the limitations you've placed on your own potential.
The philosophy
Knowledge changed my career. It changed my confidence. It changed my earning potential. And ultimately, it changed the financial trajectory of my family.
That's why Knowledge Is Power isn't just a slogan for me. It's something I've lived. I believe the knowledge and practices we acquire—and eventually pass down—can become a form of generational capital.
You may not have money. You may not have connections. You may not have the perfect résumé. You may not have a roadmap. But you can learn. And what you do with that knowledge can change everything.
My story
I spent seven years as a stay-at-home mom. After my second child, I decided I wanted to change the trajectory of my life. At the time, our family had experienced significant financial hardship, and there wasn't much evidence suggesting I was destined for some extraordinary career.
I had struggled academically in high school and needed a full year of prerequisites before beginning college. But I believed there was more for me. I completed my bachelor's degree while raising two children and navigating the COVID years, graduating with a 3.0 GPA.
Then came logistics. What began with learning how to dispatch one truck eventually became an education in transportation, sales, operations, business development, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
I learned through mistakes. I cold-called. I networked. I taught other people what I was learning. I built training programs. I mentored professionals. I continued my education. And eventually, I decided to bet on myself.
Entrepreneurship
Opening my own business was something I simply knew I was meant to do. But believing in yourself doesn't mean success happens immediately. I spent approximately two years building without profit. I kept learning. I kept selling. I kept networking. I kept changing what wasn't working. I kept going before the numbers gave me a reason to believe I was right.
Those weren't two wasted years. I was building the woman capable of running the business I wanted to build. Today, I own and operate a growing freight brokerage agency and continue building businesses, educating professionals, consulting entrepreneurs, and creating opportunities for others.
My first results didn't determine my final results—and neither do yours.
